Abstract :
Globalization and rapid developments of the last decades have created an abundance of interest in various aspects of the mass-scaled movie industry. Thousands of movies are released each year around the globe. Also, large amounts of data surrounding each title are available at a click, hence it has never been easier to collect and analyze movie metadata in order to extract valuable insights. In this work, we have collected metadata on over 450K featured movies from IMDB and performed multiple regression methods to come up with an early prediction of movie ratings as an important success factor.
